Welcome!
We are very pleased to welcome you to the 22nd meeting of the European Working Group for Legionella Infection (EWGLI) to be held on 2-5 June, 2007 in Stockholm, the city where EWGLI started in April 1986. During the first years the annual meeting was arranged as a round-table discussion, but soon it grew to become a scientific meeting with both oral and poster presentations. Our present day knowledge of legionellosis in Europe would not have been what it is without EWGLI and EWGLInet.
In the 22nd meeting we propose to tackle the problem of risk assessment. But of course there will also be ample opportunity to present current findings and debate topics concerning epidemiology, clinical aspects, diagnosis, typing schemes and much more in the Legionella field.
We look forward to see all of you in Stockholm, taking part in a stimulating scientific discussion and also enjoying the beautiful capital of Sweden and the old university town of Uppsala.
